Alfred Schreuder era begins at Kasımpaşa: Dutch head coach replaces Emre Belözoğlu

Kasımpaşa have entrusted the head coach role to Dutchman Alfred Schreuder. Following the departure of Emre Belözoğlu, who has taken charge of Fenerbahçe, the club reached an agreement with Schreuder until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Schreuder, who has previously coached Hoffenheim and served as assistant coach to German national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann, takes his first job in Turkey with Kasımpaşa. The 54-year-old, who worked at Saudi Arabian side Al-Diriyah FC before his short spell at the German Football Association (DFB), has a career filled with notable successes.

The Dutch coach won the Belgian title with Club Brugge, while he celebrated league and cup triumphs as an assistant coach at Ajax. Schreuder also tasted Copa del Rey glory during his time at Barcelona, where he was part of Ronald Koeman's coaching staff.
