Beşiktaş issue Fabio Miretti update: midfielder ruled out for 4 to 6 weeks
Beşiktaş have confirmed that Fabio Miretti suffered a joint separation in his right shoulder against Crystal Palace. The Italian midfielder will be out for 4 to 6 weeks.
Beşiktaş were hit by injury news concerning Fabio Miretti following their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace in the UEFA Europa League. The Italian midfielder, who landed on his shoulder in the first half and was unable to continue, now has a clear diagnosis. The club announced that the 23-year-old has suffered a joint separation in his right shoulder.
In an official statement, Beşiktaş said that radiological imaging revealed an injury to the joint between Miretti's right shoulder and collarbone (an acromioclavicular joint separation). The Italian's recovery is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks.
Miretti's injury will directly affect midfield rotation for Beşiktaş as they prepare for a congested schedule in the Süper Lig and the UEFA Europa League. The young midfielder will miss the league fixtures against Başakşehir, Kasımpaşa and Gençlerbirliği, as well as the Europa League meetings with Celtic and Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Miretti suffered a similar shoulder injury during his spell at Genoa in the 2024/25 season, missing 6 matches after the problem began in April. In the 2025/26 season, while playing for Juventus, he missed 9 games with a thigh injury.
On loan from Juventus with a €13 million purchase option, the Italian midfielder has yet to register a goal or an assist in his 4 Süper Lig appearances this season.
