De la Fuente adds 3 new names to Nations League squad: Como's Ramón on the list

Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente has named his squad for the final two Nations League fixtures. The experienced coach has included 3 new names in the group.

Spain, who face Czechia and England during this international break, had already secured their place in the quarter-finals. De la Fuente has treated the situation as an opportunity, making 7 changes to the squad from the previous international break.

Real Betis pair Álvaro Valles and Marc Roca, along with Jacobo Ramón, who has caught the eye with his performances at Como, have been called up for the first time. The young defender, who has flourished at Como following their impressive start to the 2026-27 season, also provided an assist in the historic 9-1 Champions League victory over Lens.

Joan García and Pedro Porro, who missed the last international camp through injury, have recovered and return to the squad. Pablo Barrios and Real Sociedad's Ander Barrenetxea are also back after a one-year absence, while Liverpool's Víctor Muñoz has been left out this time.

La Roja, unbeaten in 42 matches excluding penalty shoot-outs and winners of their last 11, will be without the injured Rodri, Dani Olmo and Eric García.

Spain's final Group A4 fixtures see them travel to Czechia on 12 November before hosting England 3 days later.
