€18 Million Signing Yet to Play: The New Süper Lig Arrivals Still Waiting for Minutes

With the first 9 weeks of the Süper Lig season in the books, some of the players who joined squads during the summer transfer window have yet to be given a chance. The fact that names who stood out for their high market values and costs have not yet taken the field has surprised football fans.

Galatasaray's French defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who has a market value of €18 million, tops the list of new signings yet to feature in the league. Galatasaray brought in the 21-year-old centre-back from RB Leipzig for a €2 million loan fee, with a €28 million purchase option.

Signings by Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş also feature on the list. In second place is Ali Habeşoğlu, whom Trabzonspor signed from Bodrum FK for a €1.7 million transfer fee and who has a market value of €2.2 million. Goalkeeper Doğan Alemdar, whom Beşiktaş signed from Başakşehir for €2 million, has also yet to make a league appearance.

Other new signings who did not get any minutes in the first 9 weeks include Göztepe's Gökdeniz Bayrakdar, Erzurumspor FK's Emirhan Acar, Burak Bozan, Çaykur Rizespor's Umut Erdem, Alanyaspor's Emre Demir and Gençlerbirliği's Kévin Rodrigues.
