Eldor Shomurodov, genç yaşta Özbekistan liginden Rusya'ya transfer olduktan sonra performansını istikrarlı bir şekilde artırmış ve Serie A'ya yükselmiştir. Genoa'da sergilediği etkili performansın ardından Roma'ya transfer olmuş, burada ilk sezonunda Konferans Ligi şampiyonu kadronun önemli bir parçası olarak 40 maça çıkıp 11 gole doğrudan katkı sağlamıştır.
