Inter won 3-0 away at Feyenoord to claim a second successive victory in the UEFA Champions League.
At the Stadion Feijenoord, the Italian giants put on a dominant display with goals from Yann Bisseck, Francesco Pio Esposito and Piotr Zieliński, and in doing so also brought an end to their run of away defeats in the Champions League.
In just the 8th minute, Luciano Valente gave the ball away and Inter broke quickly down the right, with Djed Spence feeding Bisseck. Shaking off his marker on the edge of the penalty area, Bisseck sent a classy finish into the top left corner to put his side 1-0 up.
Shortly after the opener, goalkeeper Tjark Ernst denied Marcus Thuram, while the hosts threatened from a tight angle through Anis Hadj Moussa just after the half-hour mark but could not beat the goalkeeper.
Just as Feyenoord were stepping up the pressure in search of an equaliser, Inter doubled their lead. In the 34th minute, Spence's ball into the box on a swift counter-attack deflected off a defender and fell kindly for Esposito. The youngster's header struck the crossbar and, despite Ernst's best efforts, crossed the line: 0-2.
In the 54th minute, early in the second half, Piotr Zieliński took centre stage. Shrugging off his marker as he dribbled towards the arc of the penalty area, the Polish midfielder fired a powerful, well-placed strike past the helpless Ernst to make it 3-0.
Feyenoord tried to stay in the game, but Inter remained in control and came close to a fourth in the 66th minute. Esposito turned a Federico Dimarco cross into the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
After a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign with defeats to Real Madrid and Club Brugge, Inter have now climbed the table on the back of two straight wins. With their 87th Champions League victory, the Nerazzurri now share with AC Milan the distinction of being the Italian club with the second-most wins in the competition's history, behind Juventus (118).
Despite the injury to captain Lautaro Martínez, Inter have kept up their attacking output, and Esposito has been directly involved in 5 goals (3 goals, 2 assists) in the 6 matches he has started in the competition. In midfield, Hakan Çalhanoğlu won possession 8 times, more than any other player on the pitch, followed by Zieliński.
Having extended their unbeaten run against Dutch sides in the Champions League to 14 matches (11 wins, 3 draws), Inter climbed to 14th place in the standings with these crucial three points.
