Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler hopes to turn his supporters' dreams into reality by winning the Conference League this season.
The English side took another step towards the knockout rounds with a 1-0 victory over Getafe at the Coliseum. Malick Yalcouyé proved the match-winner for Brighton, breaking down a stubborn Getafe defence in the 64th minute with a header that came down off the crossbar and into the net.
Brighton generated 1.64 expected goals (xG) in the contest, while Getafe managed just 0.26. Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen also produced four vital saves.
Having collected seven points from three matches in the league phase, Brighton sit fifth and remain the only team yet to concede a goal in the competition this season.
Hürzeler urged his players not to lose focus, while asking Brighton's supporters to keep on dreaming.
Speaking after the match, Hürzeler said: "They should dream, I always say that. We focus on our work. We focus on the things we can control. They should dream and hopefully at some point we can make their dreams come true."
Assessing the game, the head coach added: "These matches in the Conference League are different. You have to break down low-block defences. You have to understand what the opponents are aiming for within the game. That is why you always have to be patient in these kinds of matches, and I think we managed that today. To be honest, we didn't play our best football. There were a few moments where we were a little loose with the simple things. We couldn't execute the basic details at the highest level, but in the end we kept a clean sheet. We are a team that has kept a clean sheet for the third time in a row in this competition, we scored our goal and I think we deserved to win this match."
After the international break, Brighton face Universitatea Craiova in their next Conference League fixture, before a tough test against Monaco.
