Luis Enrique Praises PSG's Mentality After Comeback Win at Strasbourg

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique said his team proved their mental strength after a 3-1 comeback victory over Strasbourg.

PSG fell behind to a Giovanni Reyna goal in the 17th minute at the Stade de la Meinau, but staged a dramatic late comeback. Illia Zabarnyi's 77th-minute equaliser lit the fuse, before substitutes Ousmane Dembele, who had earlier missed a penalty, and Desire Doue scored to secure the three points for the capital club.

The result extended PSG's winning run in all competitions to six matches, giving them the longest active winning streak in Europe's big five leagues behind Barcelona. The French giants face that very opponent in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Delighted with the character shown by his players, Luis Enrique said: "Teams that play against us come out with extra motivation. Managing that when you play football for a team like PSG is quite difficult."

The Spanish coach concluded: "Still, I am very happy. We knew we would face difficulties, but we started the match positively. We needed that first goal to be able to feel comfortable in the game."
